Escape Hatch Books & Games owner Joe Bills (bottom left) will join artist Corwin Levi (bottom right) for a talk and workshop on Thursday, October 1 at 5:30pm. Joe will begin by discussing the history of board games and how they have impacted us throughout time. Corwin will follow by explaining how game boards have influenced the work he is showing at the Mariposa. Both will answer any questions. Following the talk, Joe and Corwin will facilitate attendees breaking into small groups and, with an assortment of raw game materials like blocks, boards, and pieces, encourage them to create their own versions of games and to share them with the room. Stacking towers, jumping pieces, double wild reverse two—any imaginative way to create a bit of merriment on a Thursday evening.
